This bright and spacious house is located in the small medieval village of Monteverdi Marittimo with its narrow cobbled streets and on occasion steep staircases in the province of Pisa, Tuscany.
This is the perfect location to explore the surrounding woodlands, rolling hills, sprawling vineyards and olive groves and other villages and walled towns that are synonymous with the old world charm of Tuscany.
Within walking distance, there is the historic town centre with its local church, places to eat, a small supermarket, the chemist, post office, butcher shop and Mucci's store, which is renowed in the region for selling Tuscan products.
On the outskirts of the village, there is the Tourist InfoPoint (INFOOD) - the INFO part covering information about the territory and the FOOD part allowing you to taste and buy products from local farmers.
The area is a paradise for trekking and cycling enthusiasts. Tourists have the vast thickly wooded area of Monterufoli-Caselli Nature Reserve on their doorstep with its network of well-marked trails.
Cyclists are spoiled for choice: there is a simple 12 km journey from the centre of Monteverdi Marittimo to the most beautiful monument of Val di Cornia - the Abbey of Saint Peter in Palazzolo. For the more serious aficionados, there is the 56km route crossing the beautiful Pisan hills of the Monteverdi Marittimo area.
The splendid beaches of Follonica are about 30 minutes away by car.
